ABOUT ME.

Hey, I'm Prisca
YOUR BIRTH-LOVING, TEA-SIPPING, JESUS-TRUSTING, DOULA FRIEND
I'm a wife, mama of two, and a lover of people, places, and plants. Charlotte, NC is home, where my days are filled with baby snuggles, toddler adventures and plenty of time outdoors- whether it's hiking, camping, or chasing after our sweet (and slightly wild) pup. I run on a little chai, a whole lot of Jesus and the joy of meaningful connections.
When I’m not supporting families through birth, you’ll find me gathering with friends, exploring local food spots with my husband or savoring a warm cup of tea with a sweet treat and a good book.
MY JOURNEY TO BECOMING A DOULA
My journey to becoming a certified birth coach started years before I began formal training. I had the opportunity to intern in Ecuador, where I observed indigenous midwives and doulas in their communities. They cared for mothers in ways that were deeply communal, intuitive and sacred. It was humbling and inspiring to witness their wisdom, skill and deep connection to birth.

That experience, combined with my passion for maternal health, led me to pursue a degree in Public Health. After becoming a mom myself, I truly felt ready to step into the role of a doula. During my labor, Jesus was my strength, my husband was my comfort and my doula was my advocate. Her presence and prayers reassured me that I was doing the right thing for me and my baby at the right time. After experiencing firsthand the incredible comfort and reassurance that doulas can bring, I knew I wanted to provide that same support to other parents.

Every birth is different but one thing never changes: the unbelievable strength of moms bringing their babies into the world. It’s an honor to witness and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
I've experienced two drastically different births. My son was born after a long 42-hour labor at a birth center, and my daughter made her grand entrance in the car! These experiences gave me a deep respect for the power, rawness, and unpredictability of birth. As I walked through the transformation of becoming a mother, I experienced the beauty, vulnerability, and sacredness of bringing life into the world. I also came to see how essential it is to be supported, not just clinically, but emotionally, spiritually and holistically.

I’m a huge advocate for informed choice and consent. I believe it’s something every mom should feel confident about before labor begins. I love that my role is to support women in their strengths, because ultimately, mama is in control of her birth experience. Every mom has unique wants and needs when envisioning her ideal birth. I love helping her get from where she is to where she wants to be. I also value breastfeeding, postpartum wellness, and I enjoy helping moms troubleshoot or problem solve when needed.

The saying “it takes a village” holds a special place in my heart. I often feel called to be that village for fellow mamas—someone who makes them feel appreciated, supported, informed and confident in their God-given abilities.

So whether you’re planning a peaceful home birth, heading to the hospital with snacks and a playlist, or somewhere in between—I’m here for it. Want to text me every detail? Let’s do it. Prefer to meet for tea and chat about birth plans? I’m all in. Want to keep things low-key until labor day? Totally fine. Whether you're local to Charlotte or not, I’m here for you. Even if affirmations and oils aren’t your thing and you just need someone to hold your hand and remind you to breathe, I’ve got you.

However you choose to birth, it would be an honor to serve you and be part of your village.

Other random facts
Every year, I promise myself to pour into my own cup the way I pour into others. Right now that looks like hopping on a plane whenever I can and letting travel refill my soul.

I was born in Liberia, West Africa, and moved to the U.S. when I was just two so adventure has been part of my story from the start.

If I could live anywhere for a month, it’d hands-down be Italy, because carbs, cobblestone streets and a strong black tea before noon are basically my love language.

I once bungee jumped off a bridge in Ecuador, because what’s life without a little adrenaline and questionable decisions?
